The Bow Music Conference at the University of KwaZulu-Natal on 24 - 27 February 2016 is put together in consultation with southern African and international bow music researchers. Participation will include academics from a wide spectrum of indigenous musical arts, practitioners and cultural bearers of diverse bow music traditions in sub-Saharan and abroad.


KwaZulu-Natal Society of Arts (KZNSA)

KwaZulu-Natal Society of Arts (KZNSA) at 166 Bulwer Road, Glenwood will host a day of activity and workshops around bow music practice and the related art of Capoeira Angola on 27 February. All are welcome to take part in the action. An exhibition of musical bow instruments will also be showing at the venue throughout the conference.
